Answer and collect
Does it give your approved information, collect a reliable callback number and make the request easy to review? Decide who takes the next action.
A practical buying guide
Start with what should happen when the conversation ends. An answer, a callback request, a confirmed appointment and a completed transfer are different outcomes.

Define the job
This is Kyros’s buying guide, not an independent product ranking. Our comparisons use linked provider descriptions and published prices; they do not imply that we tested every service.
Does it give your approved information, collect a reliable callback number and make the request easy to review? Decide who takes the next action.
Which calendar, services, staff and locations can it actually use? A request written in a summary is not proof that an appointment was created.
Can the caller reach the right destination during the right hours? Check busy and unanswered calls, not just a successful demonstration.
Before you commit
Use sample information and a controlled call. Inspect the result in the system where your team will actually work.
Confirm the forwarding or porting requirements, provider fees and how to restore the old route. Make sure customer calls reach the intended destination.
Ask one question covered by approved information and one that is not. Check that it avoids inventing prices, policies or availability.
Give a name or address that needs clarification. Review the callback number, request and preferred time for accuracy.
Check the configured transfer and fallback message. A pleasant voice alone does not tell you whether a handoff works.
Ask which integration and plan are needed. For a claimed booking, inspect the actual calendar event, timezone and confirmation; for a request, check the team's follow-up queue.
Read included usage, rounding, overages or packs, number fees, trial end behavior, cancellation and data retention. Ask what happens if the allowance is exhausted.
Choose the type of help
An AI receptionist can answer from approved information and collect a structured request; connected actions depend on the product and setup. A human answering service can take messages or use its own escalation process. Ask both what happens outside their script, when they answer and who follows up.
Voicemail records what the caller leaves. A basic auto-attendant routes a selection through a menu. Either can fit a simple need; neither demonstrates that a question was answered or an appointment completed. Start with the outcome you actually need.
Compare like with like
Minute-based and call-based plans can produce different bills for the same business. Use your own call lengths and peak periods, rather than assuming every call is average.
Twenty ordinary calls lasting 30 seconds each total 10 minutes of usage under Kyros’s seconds-based accounting. A service that rounds every call up to a full minute would count 20 minutes. Check each provider’s current usage rules and any transfer charges.
Compare the plan plus additional usage, required integrations, numbers and carrier charges. State currency, tax and monthly or annual commitment. A lower starting price does not tell you which product costs less for your workflow.
Where Kyros fits
Consider Kyros for English calls forwarded from your existing business line: approved answers, messages and callback requests, with transfers to a configured person and call summaries for follow-up.
If automatic booking, a specific CRM action or another language is essential, confirm that exact requirement with us before choosing a plan.
Give callers a helpful first response. Give your team a clear next step.
